Nestlé Bangladesh Unveils the First Certification Program on Child Health and Nutrition

Child Health and Nutrition

Nestlé Bangladesh is thrilled to announce that the Nestlé Nutrition Institute (NNI) successfully concluded the “CPCN Live Symposium 2025” in collaboration with Daffodil International University (DIU) on 16th October 2025, at Daffodil International University.

This significant event celebrated the "Certification Program on Child Health & Nutrition (CPCN)," the country's first-ever joint initiative by the Nestlé Nutrition Institute and Daffodil International University (DIU) to enhance the capacity building of Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs). RMPs serve as the primary healthcare contact and play a frontline role in addressing micronutrient deficiencies, malnutrition among children, and maternal health complications in rural Bangladesh. Thus, this initiative will enable broader dissemination of scientific knowledge and symptomatic treatment. In the first phase, 500 RMPs have been certified under this program.

Mr. Deepal Abeywickrema, Chairman & Managing Director of Nestlé Bangladesh PLC, served as the Guest of Honour at the event, while Professor Mohammed Masum Iqbal, PhD, Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University, was the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Reaz Mobarak, Pediatrician and Honorable Professor & Head of the High Dependency & Isolation Unit & Epidemiology at Bangladesh Child Hospital & Institute, shared his valuable insights as the Keynote Speaker. The event was also attended by respected academicians, experts, and healthcare professionals from across the country, reaffirming Nestlé’s commitment to nourishing a healthier future for Bangladesh.
