We recruit people who respect our values, we provide equal opportunities for all, and we protect everyone's privacy. We do not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination. Our aim is to create workplaces where everyone feels included and are able to bring their whole selves to work. This commitment starts at recruitment and continues to the end of the working relationship. Our business has a diversity, equity & inclusion action plan designed to provide equal opportunities for everyone to contribute, grow and and feel valued.

Taking action worldwide

Globally, Nestlé efforts are centered in four focus areas within diversity, equity & inclusion: gender balance, people with disabilities, LGBT+ community and race & ethnicity.

Gender Balance

Globally, Nestlé has been a member of the United Nations Global Compact since 2001. Aligning with our Gender Balance Acceleration Plan, there have been several initiatives starting from creating the right mindset to implementing different policies to ensure gender equality in workplace and it's an ongoing journey till we reach our goal.

People with disabilities

We promote the inclusion of people with disabilities across our workforce. We meticulously design our recruitment processes so that everyone can have a fair chance, including people of disabilities. We are committed to bringing in any talent who will contribute to the organization, despite their disabilities.

Race and ethnicity

Nestlé has advanced racial and ethnic inclusion for a long time. Today, more than 85% of management committee positions in the countries we operate are held by local employees who are truly representative of the communities we serve. Nestlé was one of the founding members of the World Economic Forum's Partnering for Racial Justice in Business initiative.

The nurturing culture of Nestlé really intrigues me. While I was away on maternity leave, I did not have to worry about six months of missed work. After I joined back, I was assigned projects which helped me recognize the skills I never thought I had. It felt great to know they believed in me, even when I was gone- and to this day, their trust in me has motivated me to make a strong comeback.

Nestlé has helped me test my limits to overcome different challenges which has always motivated me to be a better version of myself.

I joined Nestlé back in 2011 as a Customer Service & Distribution Officer and now I am leading the entire Food & Beverage Planning team for Bangladesh market. The journey has only been possible for the constant mentoring and guidance I received from Nestle. I am very fortunate to be part of this organization and it has been a privilege so far, to learn from people around me.
